Ouija: Origin of Evil is the newest thriller/horror movie in theaters. Starring young actress Lulu Wilson as Doris Zander and Elizabeth Reaser as her mom Alice. The movie takes place in Los Angeles in 1965. Alice is a widowed mother of two, Lina and Doris, who runs a scammed seance business to aid people in moving on with her children. Doris suggests they add a Ouija Board into their readings and they accidentally attract a spirit named Marcus who begins to possess Doris. The family must now come together to decide how best to get rid of the merciless spirit.

The film is exciting and captivating, yet horrific and terrifying. Lulu Wilson does an incredible job of being the sweet innocent little girl to the creepy, possessed child in each scene taken place. The perfect scary child to freak out the audience. You are kept on the edge of your seat wondering who that shadow is and where that sound came from. There is no previous knowledge of the Ouija board movies to understand the plot of this one.

Ouija, however, has an anti-climatic ending that reveals almost too much about what is behind the screen of the game and what is happening in the Zander home. With that said, it is still a good watch for those interested in a good thriller on their Friday night.
