Is the Movie Ticket Worth your Money?

Why do we go see movies? Why do we spend our budgeted college money on a movie we could watch for close to free in a few months? In the past years, going to the movie theater has become less of a novelty. In today's society, one can just turn on their laptop and watch a Netflix movie that was in theaters months ago and never have to leave the comfort of their home. So why do we still go?

Maybe we go for a fun night out with friends or date night. Maybe we go because we are dying to see the new Jason Bourne movie and can't wait four months for it be on DVD or Netflix. Either way, we spend our hard-earned money on a one time movie. As college students, we can not afford a whole lot of extras. We have to use money wisely on things like rent, tuition, groceries, and gas. With that leftover money we have many options to spend it on so wouldn't you rather know if the movie is worth the money?

Going and seeing a movie can be a relaxing and fun outing. You get ready, you buy popcorn, and you sit for 2-3 hours and enjoy the movie. It is the worst when you spend all that time and money and the movie is boring or horrible. Here you are able to see reviews of those movies before you spend the money to see them. Other college students just like you can write a review and tell you if it is really worth the money to see the movie.
