Fantasy films allow audiences to escape from the sorrows of the real world, and visit the extraordinary wonders of another worldly dimension; and cinematographer visionary director, Tim Burton, does just that in Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by taking his audience on an adventure that we only dream about.
What makes this film worth seeing, aside from its memorizing animation and cinematographic effects, is the realism the actors portray to their respectable characters. By doing so, you begin believing in the film's magical story line, which is the most powerful effect any film can have.
Ultimately, the film depicts a story about children who are born "differently" than others and are forced to live elsewhere, in magical dimension so they are safe from societal ridicule. Burton uses the film's story line to his advantage by subliminally stating the fact that it is okay to be different, because our differences are the most magical and unique things that we all acquire.
